Essaouira is a port city on Morocco's Atlantic coast. It's medina (old town) is protected by 18th century seafront ramparts called the Skala de la Kasbah. Formerly "Mogador" it's a UNESCO world heritage listed city. Famous for kite surfing, watersports and has featured in films such as Orson Welles 'Othello' and 'Game of Thrones'.
