I shot this photo of a young silverback mountain gorilla on the border of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo after a 6 hour hike to the top of a dormant volcano in the Virunga National Park. A UNESCO world heritage site, it's one of the most biologically diverse areas on the planet and home to the last surviving 800 critically endangered mountain gorillas.
